David Lake (BSc Hons) is ATTAR’s Managing Director, in addition to being a Board member of the Welding Technology Institute of Australia, member of the Australian Institute for Non-destructive Testing, Institute of Engineers Australia and Materials Australia. David is part of the Australasian Corrosion Association’s Petroleum and Chemical Processing Industry working group. He was for many years a weld inspector and Metallurgist, writing and approving weld procedures and specifications in the mining and refining industries.
ATTAR’s team comprises leaders from numerous areas of RBI and structural health monitoring: Non Destructive Testing (including Acoustic Emission and specialised corrosion monitoring of live overhead power lines), Failure analysis, Materials Testing, Selection and Evaluation.
ATTAR is the leading independent trainer of NDT technicians in Australia; its technical directors are recognised internationally as experts in their field.
David is Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee of Weld Australia (formerly known as the WTIA).
