Subscriptions

Weld Australia membership is annual and runs from 1 January to 31 December in a given year. Fees are pro-rated through the year as follows:

Membership for Individuals

Individual membership is open to apprentices, tradesmen, inspectors, supervisors, technologists, engineers, academics and others with an interest in welding. Financial members have full voting rights and receive the following benefits:

  • Substantial discount on the full range of Weld Australia events, seminars, professional development and technical publications
  • Regular industry updates and news
  • Invitations to networking events
  • Invitations to networking events (free for members)
  • Invitations to technical events / presentations / site tours (free for members)

There are 2 types of individual membership:

Individual Member $242 p/a incl. GST


Membership for Students

Weld Australia Student Membership is free for currently enrolled students and apprentices completing a welding related vocational training course with an Australian Registered Training Organisation. Student members receive:

  • Discounts on Weld Australia products and services
  • Regular industry updates and news
  • Invitations to networking events (free for members)
  • Invitations to technical events / presentations / site tours (free for members)

All you need to do to become a Student Member is click here to complete the online application. You will need your Unique Student Identifier (USI), the full name of your Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and the approximate date your apprenticeship or course finishes in order to complete the Student Membership application.

Student Membership is free for currently enrolled students and apprentices completing a welding related vocational training course with an Australian Registered Training Organisation. 


Membership for Companies

Corporate membership is open to all companies associated with welding or related activities. Members receive:

  • Australian Welder Certification Register Certification Portal – full access to search full database of Registered Welders for any qualification and certification data (Full Access to the Employment Portal showing employment history and contact details is only available to Premium Corporate members)
  • ‘Australian Welding’ (our quarterly print publication) delivered direct every quarter to your nominated representative
  • Opportunity to host Weld Australia members for a site tour, technical presentation or demonstration of your capabilities
  • Opportunity to submit case studies or project profiles for publication in Australian Welding
  • Substantial discount on the full range of Weld Australia events, seminars, professional development and advisory services, and on on advertising in Weld Australia publications
  • Regular industry updates and news
  • Invitation to networking events for yourself and all of your company contacts (free for members)
  • Invitation to technical events / presentations / site tours for yourself and all of your company contacts (free for members)
  • Opportunity to participate in industry research and development projects
  • Unlimited company contacts to receive communication and industry updates from Weld Australia, and electronic copies of ‘Australian Welding’ along with Weld Australia’s monthly e-bulletin ‘Weld Connect’

There are two grades of corporate membership:

Corporate Membership $1,200 p/a incl. GST

Premium Corporate Membership $4,265 p/a incl. GST

Premium Corporate Members receive all Corporate Membership benefits plus:

  • Membership of the Technology Network, which offers services to asset managers and prime contractors (only available to Premium Corporate members)
  • Australian Welder Certification Register Certification Portal – full access to search full database of Registered Welders for any qualification and certification data, plus full access to the Employment Portal showing employment history and contact details (full access to the Employment Portal is available only to Premium Corporate members)
  • Weld Australia Industry Group Membership is only open to Weld Australia Premium Corporate members
  • Unlimited company contacts (across all your sites) to receive communication and industry updates from Weld Australia, and electronic copies of ‘Australian Welding’ along with Weld Australia’s monthly e-bulletin ‘Weld Connect’

Industry Groups (Only open to Premium Corporate Members)

Weld Australia hosts and administers Industry Groups, providing a forum for technology transfer and R&D, linking members with industry and research organisations. Industry Groups:

  • Represent a source of vital technical welding information;
  • Optimises welding practices through standard development and tools; and
  • Assist members to prepare specifications.

Single Site $16,500 (including Premium Membership and GST)
Multi-Site $27,500 (including Premium Membership and GST)
